Ricky Gervais has defended his risqu? routine at Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday - insisting none of the celebrities he poked fun at were offended by his jokes.

The British funnyman has received mixed reviews for his efforts hosting the glitzy awards show, after making a series of gags about stars in the audience. During all the NBC internet chatter this week, I couldn't wait for new episodes of scripted comedy. The Thursday lineup was loaded with guest stars, none bigger than Jack Black's appearance on Community, which says one if not two things: the show is underperforming ratings-wise, and A-list actors want to be a part of a comedy they enjoy watching.

LONDON (Reuters) – Michael Jackson intended his run of 50 live concerts in London to be his live performance farewell and an event to share with his growing children, the director of his new movie said on Tuesday.

In the last few days of his life, Jackson appeared to have "gone into another gear" while rehearsing for the concerts and showed no signs of drug dependency, Kenny Ortega told Reuters in an interview.
