UNITED NATIONS – The United Nations briefly evacuated three basement levels after a fire alarm went off Thursday morning, forcing U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and pop star Stevie Wonder to leave a conference room.
There was no evacuation in the rest of the 39-story U.N. headquarters building and the Security Council continued a meeting uninterrupted.

Miley Cyrus' rocker father Billy Ray has been forced to abandon a TV concert after fire broke out in the building next door.
The Achy Breaky Heart hit-maker was due to record a performance for the TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Hesperia, California on Friday night. However, the concert had to be postponed when a massive blaze erupted in the Boulder Creek Ranch, close to the building where filming was due to take place, according to TMZ.com.
