LOS ANGELES – Simon Cowell's brother says the next season of "American Idol" will be the judge's last.
Tony Cowell said in his weekly podcast, "The Cowell Factor," that a statement was being prepared that would certify that the acerbic British judge was leaving the popular Fox signing competition at the end of 2010.

Simon Cowell will leave American Idol in 2010, according to his brother. The music mogul has become a TV sensation since taking his seat on the judging panel in 2002, and he's since become the richest man on TV in the States, earning a massive $75 million in the last year.
As well as his panelist duties on the hit series, he also leads the judges on British talent show "The X Factor," which he is in negotiations to bring stateside in 2011.

NEW YORK (AP) — Diane Sawyer says this week is her last as co-anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America" as she prepares to replace Charles Gibson on the network's "World News."
Gibson is retiring. His last broadcast as anchor on "World News" will be Dec. 18. Sawyer starts Dec. 21.
The 63-year-old Sawyer has been on "GMA" for 10 years. She says: "I've calculated — 2,881 shows. Roughly."
