During all the NBC internet chatter this week, I couldn't wait for new episodes of scripted comedy. The Thursday lineup was loaded with guest stars, none bigger than Jack Black's appearance on Community, which says one if not two things: the show is underperforming ratings-wise, and A-list actors want to be a part of a comedy they enjoy watching. 
NEW YORK (AP) -- ABC says Chris Brown will appear on its "20/20" newsmagazine Dec. 11.
In what's billed as an in-depth interview, the singer will discuss his assault of ex-girlfriend and recording superstar Rihanna in February. He is on probation for the beating.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A judge says Chris Brown has received an "extremely favorable" report from probation officials overseeing his felony assault case.
Brown appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday afternoon to offer a judge his first progress report since being sentenced for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Chris Brown has announced the release of his first CD since his February altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna.
"Graffiti," the singer's third album, will be released on Dec. 15, he said via Twitter.
The CD's first single, "I Can Transform Ya," features Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz.
The 20-year-old will also kick off his "Fan Appreciation" tour in Houston on Nov. 14.
