LOS ANGELES (AP) — The music world is celebrating all over town this weekend with tributes, rehearsals, parties and, of course, a gift suite or two in anticipation of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night at Staples Center. Here’s a look:

Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock and the cast of Inglourious Basterds took the top prizes at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Bridges won Best Actor for his role in Crazy Heart, and Bullock was named Best Actress for her performance in The Blind Side - completing a great week for the pair who won the same awards at last week’s Golden Globes.

The cast of Quentin Tarantino’s World War II movie were named Best Ensemble.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Taylor Swift, Beyonce and the Black Eyed Peas will perform at the Grammy Awards in January on a night when they are all expected to go home with an armful of trophies.

Country music bandLady Antebellum and R&B singer Maxwell will also be among those performing live on the music industry's biggest night on January 31, when the Grammy Awards are handed out in a live televised show, broadcaster CBS

Hit comedy 30 Rock is leading the charge for the primetime TV categories at the 2010 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards with three top nominations.

Tina Fey and her co-star Alec Baldwin are both up for Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series honors in their respective categories, while the entire “30 Rock” cast has been nominated for the ensemble comedy prize.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Country crossover star Taylor Swift overshadowed the late Michael Jackson at the American Music Awards on Sunday, winning five prizes including artist of the year.

Jackson, who had been expected to enjoy a clean sweep, ended up with four awards. He and Swift went head-to-head in the artist of the year race, the ceremony's final prize.

LONDON (Billboard) – Robbie Williams has pulled out of a scheduled appearance at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards.

According to a statement issued Friday by the U.K. singer's spokesperson, the cancellation was “due to a scheduling conflict.” The statement went onto say that “all other promotional commitments carry on as planned.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Michael Jackson has a chance to win artist of the year posthumously at the American Music Awards.

Fans will select winners by online voting. The awards will be televised Nov. 22 on ABC from Los Angeles.

Jackson is up against Lady Gaga, Eminem, Kings of Leon and Taylor Swift for the show’s top honor. Jackson died in Los Angeles on June 25, in the midst of rehearsals for a comeback tour.
