Ke$ha, Lady Gaga lead singles chart (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Billboard) – Pop singer Ke$ha led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for a fourth week on Thursday with her debut single “TiK ToK,” and also grabbed the No. 7 spot with her new follow-up, “Blah Blah Blah.”

Both tracks come from her album “Animal,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart on Wednesday. Two other tunes, “Your Love Is My Drug” and “Take It Off,” debuted at No. 27 and No. 85, respectively.

Alicia Keys tops R&B chart with new album (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Alicia Keys' album “The Element of Freedom” topped the R&B chart in its first week of sales, but fell short of Susan Boyle to land at No. 2 on the Top 200 Albums chart, her label said on Wednesday.

Susan Boyle blocks Alicia Keys from top of chart (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) – There's just no stopping Susan Boyle on the U.S. pop chart.

Her debut album “I Dreamed a Dream” claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a fourth week in a row Wednesday, denying Alicia Keys a shot at the top.

It sold 661,000 copies during the week ended December 20, according to Nielsen SoundScan, taking its total to 2,465,000 copies — the second-best selling album of 2009.

LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK (Billboard) – Pearl Jam topped the U.S. pop album chart for the first time in 13 years on Wednesday, ending the two-week reign of rapper Jay-Z.
