LOS ANGELES (AP) — Britney Spears was meeting Friday with a judge overseeing her court conservatorship.

The pop singer arrived at a downtown Los Angeles courthouse for a closed hearing. It was Spears’ first meeting with Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz since the singer concluded a world tour last year.

L.A. police ask judge to keep Jackson records sealed

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A police detective asked a Nevada judge Wednesday to keep warrant documents in the Michael Jackson death investigation sealed until Jan. 18.

Los Angeles police Detective Orlando Martinez made the request by telephone before Clark County District Court Judge Valerie Adair closed the hearing to the public.

Martinez did not provide further explanation while the hearing was open.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal judge has temporarily blocked two music-sharing Web sites from selling songs by The Beatles and other artists for 25 cents apiece.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter on Thursday blocked the sites BlueBeat.com and Basebeat.com and owner Hank Risan from selling copyrighted songs by The Beatles and others. Music company EMI Group filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday seeking an injunction
