Madonna has split from her toy-boy lover Jesus Luz, according to a new report. The Material Girl is said to be single again after the Brazilian underwear model called off their relationship, citing their age difference and busy schedules, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

NEW YORK (AP) — Madonna says she has donated a $250,000 to help the people of Haiti — and she is urging her fans and friends to do the same.

The pop queen said Friday in a statement that her prayers are with the people of Haiti. She says she donated to Partners In Health, a longtime health care provider there.

Madonna has been blamed for a downturn in donations to an orphanage in Malawi, Africa - because people wrongly assume the pop superstar has handed the owners thousands of dollars.

The Material Girl adopted daughter Mercy James from the Kondanani home earlier this year but since the venue was linked to the singer, staff have been struggling to raise the required funds.

LILONGWE, Malawi – An official for Madonna’s African charity says the star has arrived in Malawi to visit the girls school she is building in the impoverished country where she adopted two children.

The official who could not be named because he was not authorized to speak on the matter said Madonna arrived Sunday at about 2:30 p.m. (1230 GMT; 830 EDT) on Ethiopian Airlines.

LONDON (AP) — Madonna has accepted damages from a British newspaper for publishing pictures of her wedding to Guy Ritchie that she said had been stolen from her home.

The singer wasn’t in court Tuesday, but her lawyer confirmed that she had accepted “substantial” damages from Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Mail on Sunday.

The amount wasn’t disclosed, but her lawyer, John Kelly, told Justice Peter Smith

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Polish fans joined together in song to wish Madonna a happy birthday at a concert in Warsaw Saturday evening — just hours before she turned 51.

In a break between two songs, a fan held up a sign wishing her a happy birthday and audience members sang, “may you live a hundred years,” a traditional Polish birthday song.

MARSEILLES, France (AP) — Madonna is expected to visit some of the eight workers who were injured in an accident in which two workers were killed while assembling a music stage for the singer in the French port of Marseilles.

The mayor’s office in Marseilles says Madonna is expected to visit two hospitals Sunday night.
