Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh prepares for Olympic show (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Billboard) – When art-rock band Devo performs live at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, it will be the band's first network broadcast performance in 20 years.

Devo will be one of 15 headlining acts, including Feist, Usher and the Fray, who will each perform one night at the Whistler Victory Ceremonies between February 13 and 27. The band's show will take place February 22 during a Victory Ceremony.

U2 Drummer Lands Role On Favorite ShowU2 drummer Larry Mullen, Jr. has landed a voiceover role in his favorite show after asking producers to consider him for a part.

The drummer will lend his voice to a pair of characters in the upcoming season of “The Cleveland Show” - a mobster and an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Show star Mike Henry, who voices the lead character, Cleveland, tells the BBC, “We just recorded him doing a couple of different parts and he was very funny.”

KENANSVILLE, N.C. – Singer and guitarist Willie Nelson canceled a North Carolina concert because of a bum hand about an hour after several band and crew members were busted for allegedly possessing moonshine and marijuana.

Alcohol Law Enforcement spokesman Ernie Seneca said Friday that six members of Nelson’s band and crew have been charged with misdemeanor possession offenses. They were issued citations before the Texas singer

James Taylor to hold Haiti benefit show in Mass.

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. (AP) — James Taylor is planning a benefit concert in Massachusetts to aid earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

Proceeds from the concert scheduled for Friday at The Mahaiwe (muh-HAY’-wee) Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington will go to Partners in Health. The Boston-based group brings modern medical care to poor nations and has been working in Haiti for more than 20 years.
