NEW YORK – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Billboard has ranked the 50 sexiest songs by popularity — and Barry White didn’t even make the list.

Instead, it’s Olivia Newton-John who is tops — her hit “Physical” is No. 1, followed by Rod Stewart’s “Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright).”

Rounding out the top five: Boyz II Men’s ballad “I’ll Make Love to You,” Next’s “Too Close” and Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two Web sites that sold songs by The Beatles for 25 cents apiece should remain shut down indefinitely, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter issued a preliminary injunction against BlueBeat.com and Basebeat.com at the request of music company EMI Group. The injunction prohibits the sites and their owner, Hank Risan, from streaming or selling songs by the Fab Four and

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal judge has temporarily blocked two music-sharing Web sites from selling songs by The Beatles and other artists for 25 cents apiece.

Record labels sue over use of songs on “Ellen” show (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Four of the world's biggest recording companies have sued the producers of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” accusing them of using songs without permission.

On the popular daytime program, which averages about 3 million viewers daily, newly named “American Idol” judge and show host DeGeneres dances to popular tunes selected by a deejay.

R Kelly to complete songs recorded with Michael Jackson (Yahoo! Music)

R Kelly has said he is planning to complete work on a series of collaborations he started work on with Michael Jackson prior to his death on June 25.

Jarvis Cocker writing songs for comedy (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Billboard) – Jarvis Cocker has written three songs for the upcoming film “Get Him to the Greek,” a spinoff of the hit 2008 comedy “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”
