LONDON (Reuters) – Music company EMI wants to retain ownership of the Abbey Roadrecording studios, immortalized by the Beatles album of the same name, though it is talking to other parties about revitalizing the site, EMI said on Sunday.
A source familiar with the situation told Reuters last week that loss-making EMI had put the studios up for sale and was talking to a few interested firms, although no deal was imminent.
NEW YORK (AP) — Bruce Springsteen wants his name off a lawsuit demanding licensing fees from a Manhattan bar where a band played his songs.
A statement on Springsteen’s Web site Thursday said he didn’t know about the lawsuit that was filed Wednesday in federal court and wouldn’t have agreed to be a plaintiff if he had been asked.

Lord Of The Rings star Andy Serkis has one acting ambition left to fulfill - he wants to play U2 frontman Bono in a biopic of the Irish rocker’s life. Actress Lucy Lawless is calling on movie bosses to adapt Xena: Warrior Princess for the big screen - because she fears fans will lose interest in the fantasy series if it’s revived for TV.

Frontman Dave Mustaine is a big fan of the popular music simulator, and is desperate for the veteran band to land its own edition. Avatar star Zoe Saldana wishes she had an identical twin so she could exact revenge on sick criminals.
The actress admits she would seek justice in the names of their victims by punishing them in the same manner they were jailed for.
