Friday I caught Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese’s latest collaboration “Shutter Island.” I was not blown away by it, but I did not think it was a terrible movie either. Since I have not read the novel on which it is based, I’m at a bit of a disadvantage to comment on whether it was a faithful adaptation; however as a thriller it kept me guessing for most of the film.

Last Monday I caught “Sherlock Holmes” in the theater, which turned out to be a very entertaining movie. Guy Ritchie presents a fresh take on Sherlock Holmes, portraying him as more of a cocky savant than a refined gentleman, but with Robert Downey Jr. playing Holmes, it works like a charm.
The Japanese are on a mad hunt to kill all the world’s dolphins and whales in an all-new “South Park” titled, “Whale Whores,” premiering on Wednesday, October 28 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.
